This is the 2nd sem of the 1st project which is the poster design .

Topic: THE OLD CHARM OF GEORGE TOWN.

 Place: core zone of Penang

Duration : 1 week

In this project, it was 3 person in one group. Three of us explore the core zone of the Penang and we found out that the 7 buildings that the visitors must go.....which are

1.THE  OLD SHOP HOUSE                         ( Armenien street )

2. KAPITAN KELING MOSQUE                ( Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling )

3. PENANG PERANAKAN MANSION     ( 29 Jalan Gereja )

4. ST. GEORGE CHURCH                           ( Jalan Farquhar )

5. FORT CORNWALLIS                             ( Lebuh Light )

6. CLOCK TOWER                                     ( Lebuh Light )

7. CHURCH STREET PIER                         ( Pengkalan Weld )

Our poster actually get the concept from the map. The position of the building is actually arrange according to the street. As we can see at the bottom of the poster is the night view of THE OLD SHOP HOUSE. This is the building that we focus on and also the 1st place that we try to introduce to the tourist . Then will be the KAPITAN KELING MOSQUE. It is a malay mosque which design by a german architect. Very beautiful and full with moorish style.The 3rd place will be the PENANG PERANAKAN MANSION. The mansion is originally owned by the Kapitan of the "Haisan" group.It is not only with the baba nyonya style but also full of others country local style. For example the French style long window and the Chinese style carving.

Feedback of RUS 104

After the finished of project 8, RUS 104 finally come to an end. I still remembered the first class , learn the architectural writing with admitting our handwriting is sucks><then sketching .......we then start our project work . Start to sleep less, or in other words sleep in the early morning . Walk back from HBP studio to Saujana. Its a long long way~~~. Although its tough in sometime but there is also enjoying time for me when doing the project work together with group mates at the studio . Its a new experience for me.In the mean time i also sharpen my water colouring skill since the project needed. Besides that the creativity is an important thing to start the project. 1 semester is very short and precious time even shorter. The time we stay up together, do the project together, i wont forget in my life. And lastly i also want to use this chance to thank to our lecturers. Thank you in teaching us and help us in finishing our project .

Continue from project 6 , we started to do our model in the scale of 1:5. We used balsa wood , plywood, and others to do the model. We started from the base then the stairs and lastly was the roof. and with all the cooperate of group mate we had done it well. And thanks to our Dr. Cheah that help us in this project.

Project 6

Project 6 is about the mini amphitheater.Our group is group 9 Finger Art Consultant. This project was a group work , at first we need to do analysis of the site. For example the ventilation, the sun goes, the site length and much more. Then the design team start to do for the amphitheater design. Our design concept was base on finger tutting.   

              My life here in USM

After this few months study in USM i have realised that every thing in our life that we want is not that easy to get it. We need to strive for it, put a lot  effort on it. Sometimes it may not be as good as we expected however if I not even try out for once then I am the looser for the whole time. Before i come to this school and take Interior Design as my course, I didn't think of that lot yet now it is different.My future is in my hand , the things that i need to do now is to do what i can do and do what upon my limit. I won't know i can do it well or not but one thing i know is I CAN DO IT.
